(Updated: I had some revisions I wanted to make to the original and felt they were too big to just place over the old submission so I have resubmitted it, sorry for any inconvenience )
As the title suggests this is a pretty crazy image, I am a huge fan of Napoleonic era naval battle paintings and I wanted to try and create a similar image but in space, a battle between 3 ships, 2 of them trying to take down the rather more advanced and skilled Dreadnought in the middle. In the distance a line of ships launches a volley of missiles towards the incoming ship knowing their 2 ships have fallen, one gutted by a powerful laser, the other suffering from a major reactor explosion. Further in the distance a huge battle is being fought in a large dust cloud, it illuminates the inside of the cloud and creates a slit of light across the clouds opening.
The image also points out some gameplay features, one being how you can level up a ship, the Dread in the middle is very advanced, its seen a lot of combat so its crew knows the ship and its systems well and so can overclock all systems basically, hence the ultra laser. Also you may notice its hull has a distinct hexagonal pattern, this is another feature, if you upgrade the hull it will show. Also gun turrets will vary depending on the type.

Wow! Epic work! It reminds me of the game Homeworld.

Destiny is not a matter of chance. It is a matter of choice. It's not a thing to be waited for - it is a thing to be achieved.
