When your species first came into existence, we were old When your planet was young, we were old When your star burst into existence, we were old When your galaxy was formed...........we celebrated We are your creators We made all of what you see for you We are your ancestors, and you are our children Look into the heart and you will find the truth Look into the heart and you will find us..............................................We will be waiting ____________________________________________________ UPDATE 2: ive updated the lighting on the whole thing, i think it makes i feel more realistic
UPDATE: after a few comments from people about the background not being as good as it could be i went back and re did as much of it as i could whilst still keeping the same style as the nebula in my previous piece pillars of hope. Tell me what you think _______________________________________________ After allot of time and a whole rework i have finally finished my latest piece. Mantle. A huge alien construction that was the creator of our galaxy and all life in it, this image shows the Mantle powering up ready to fire and begin the creation of our galaxy, you can see the energy being emitted by the arms and the core of the Mantle. The whole thing was inspired by the ARK from the Halo 3 game. This is also going to be part of a trilogy, in fact this is the second piece so far in the trilogy, see if you can find the other piece in the trilogy by looking at this piece. I will submit a new piece showing the first image of the trilogy soon. So enjoy this i hope you like it

MANTLE by *Phoenix-06 is absolutely amazing. Not your typical space, sci-fi scene but something truly unique. The details are breathtaking! (Suggested by ~MCchaz and Featured by `cosmosue)
I really love that model, but don't think the space does it justice. The close up of the mantle was working wonders detail wise (in the WIP.) For me the space seems too reminiscent of abstract brushes.
I'd love to see it with a simpler background, with the mantle far closer to the viewer. Possibly even take the spike out of the planet, because I think that takes away from the credibility of the concept. Basically I think the Mantle model you have has some huge potential for some really dynamic scenes.

HOLY MOTHERFUCKER!!! that is crazy awesome.. but I really agree with Sam.. that space doesnt do justice to the model.. maybe improve that.. btw.. I love that lighting.. you are just really original and I think you add some perspective to the spaceart scene.. good work man

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

Destiny is not a matter of chance. It is a matter of choice. It's not a thing to be waited for - it is a thing to be achieved.
