One man set out against all odds, defeated anyone in his way, but was finally defeated by the one thing he couldnt stop. Time.
As the halo's light he turns and walks away, through the bodies that had fallen on the battlefield, never looking back at what he could not prevent. He walked till everything he had fought to keep was taken away, he walked till his body fell to the ground, lifeless, cold. Then all was quiet and only time remained, keeping the story of a hero that fought without fear or regret to save the lives of all things. Its over now, time will keep its stories

well i got bored so i threw together this little concept for an alternate ending to the halo trilogy, a sad ending. I may come back to it one day and redo it. but for a quick rough idea i think it works
The sphere of light around the main ring-world is a cool feature, and you kept the melancholy mood by making an otherwise bright explosion appear dull and grey, but it still has its impact on the scene !

Why is delivering things in a car called "Shipment" while delivering things by boat is called "Cargo" ?
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

Destiny is not a matter of chance. It is a matter of choice. It's not a thing to be waited for - it is a thing to be achieved.
