UPDATE: changed the lights on the planet to make it look more spherical.
The largest of the alien mega structures, a huge artificial solar system powered by two suns . The entire thing was constructed to be a legacy to their civilization, everything they ever were, all their technology, all their culture and arts was placed within its giant data banks. It is a giant library of an entire race, and a symbol of their artistic abilities. ________________________________________________ So here is Core as it should have been before, There were many things I didn't like about the other version the main ones were the planet being to boring and those clouds. So I pimped the planet and removed the clouds around Core and replaced them with more flares and some dust rings. Spent about 10-12 hours of extra work ontop of the weeks it took to make the original. I think this version lives upto the expectations I had about it when coming up with the idea. So enjoy this newer version, I hope you like. |

The detail is an impressive feat, but to some extent, its almost as if the piece succumbs to too much detail: because everything seems equally rich in details its hard to know where the eye is supposed to look so it kind of screws over any compositional elements.
